The Campbell's Soups are on sale at Walmart for $1 each so you could price match them at LD's and then use all those coupons. I'm going to try that tonight if they'll let me.

A Grade 3 kid will tell you that '$4.98 and BOGO' is cheaper than '2 for $5'. Since you can get them cheaper at LD so there is no PM. A store will PM only when its price is higher than others.

I have to disagree with you. There deal is buy one at $4.98 get one free. The walmart deal they are in essence $2.50 each. So, to me, that is a price matching situation.

Just got off the phone with LD HO and it's not doable. I used the same argument as Carlyfalls. Oh well I tried.

actually, when u bring them both to cash, the first one rings in at $4.98 and the second rings in at $0...so it actually is cheaper to PM...u get 4 packs for $5 whereas LD u only get 2 packs for $4.98.

and the grade 3 kid thing was not necessary

I have the LD flyer right in front of me and it doesn't say buy one for 4.98 and get one for free. What is does say is "Buy 1, Get 1 free! 4.99 for two 6 packs" This isn't a case to PM. If I worked at LD I would not PM this. I don't think it matters how things are rung through on the tills, what does matter is what the flyer states.

It would have been a good deal though.

I was at London Drugs on Tuesday to take advantage of the great deals. I saved $135 in coupons! But it wasn't without a hassle.

The kid that checked me out told me "it's past 10:00 (it was 10:03 - I lined up at 9:50!) and you're basically getting this stuff for free and now you're keeping us from going home..." because I requested a price match for three items on sale at SDM. I was so agitated during this checkout! And I really didn't have all that many items (just a lot of coupons LOL!) BTW, they wouldn't price match the Tide.

I get unusually upset when the employees make me feel like I'm some kind of criminal. I try to be really polite and extremely organized but they still seem so irritated with me sometimes. Perhaps I'm too sensitive to be a stacker LOL!
