Tried open my door look out and couldn't get it open all way to much snow .. it's blowing very hard .. heard on radio St.John's ,NL getting hit hardest then us in central.. signs blowing down, roof blew off a house , traffic lights down and some parts have power gone ..snowplough taken off Roads .. If you don't need go out ..stay home and keep warm.

...wowie!!! what a stormy weekend...just made it home from the cabin, barely...it was really stormy yesterday morning and afternoon and around 3:00ish everything got eerily calm...someone said the earth was sucking in to blow...and within a few minutes the wind started and gusted 160+km/hr....we could see 200+ caribou running down the pond for shelter and then instantly the storm raged...there is widespread damage everywhere, houses collapsed, windows busted, siding, trailers, buses blown over, mountains of snow...its still really stormy here today but the wind is only gusting 90km/hr, -8 feels like -18--NLFD is scary sometimes.

Its was cold here today -8 wind calm down in morning and sun came out and it was pretty good day no snow and no wind .. enough snow until next storm hits us mid week again . Take good care yourself and glad you made it back home safe .
