Park Plaza theatre closed

It's bad news for us in Red Deer who like to watch movies.We lost Paramount years ago,Uptown closed in 2008 and now this.I find out CTV Edmonton and Red Deer Advocate can't put out accurate information about the Park Plaza theatre opening.CTV Edmonton says Park Plaza was built in 1988 and Red Deer Advocate says the theatre opened in March 1988.Wonder where they got their information and what happened to finding out the facts.I'm way older than 21.I watched movies at the Park Plaza when I was child and that was way before 1988.Park Plaza showed Star Wars in 1977.The theatre wasn't even new then.I remember lots of times standing in lines that stretched out to infront of the school board building just to see the latest movie at the Park Plaza.

I overheard ppl discussing that yesterday while at A&W. Weird. Sad. We have 2 movie theaters now... hmm. Don't go often... and actually haven't been to Park Plaza in YEARSSS! High school? lol Still holds memories, tho!

I go to movies often.I went to the Park Plaza all the time.I went 6 days before it closed down and didn't have a clue it was closing.
