Feel for all you recent grads trying to find jobs right now, I remember the same kind of frustration when I graduated in the early 90's recession.
Don't give up and get stuck in a dead end job though, as good opportunities will open up for you eventually and you never know when that will be. I remember running into old friends, many better educated than me, who were still working dead end jobs, years after I'd finally got my first entry level job and moved up a couple of times, because they'd given up and didn't realize there were lots of good entry level jobs for them now.

have you tried MedHunters?
you can also try applying to companies that aren't posting now but would have something in your field. I know a lot of people who got called within a few months, or sometimes a year later, because something opened up. The best jobs get filled before they get onto workopolis. By that point there are so many applicants to choose from its much harder. also, try applying online whenever possible. most large companies keep you in their database for a while. good luck!

@ bumper: I completely agree with you. I graduated in the mid-90s and sent out countless resumes. A year later I finally got an entry level job at the other end of the city. It was a horrible commute and low paying, but worth it for the experience. It was the best decision I ever made. In the meantime, a close friend gave up and took a decent paying job that had nothing to do with her studies. Any opportunities that did come up she rejected because they didn't pay as much. Years later she regretted it because she hasn't advanced much in pay or position and can't get an interview because her degree is now considered out-of-date.
I know its tough out there, I've had numerous friends lose their jobs in the past year, but they kept at it and all but one found something better. amazing opportunities are out there if you keep looking.
