From what I've read before on SC, I believe you would only get those bonus points if you actually paid $10, e.g. if you are redeeming at 75,000 level on bonus redemption day, and you only spend $200, you would not get the bonus points BUT if you spent $210, you will have paid $10 towards Balea and would get the 1500 bonus points.
The treatment above differs from coupons for bonus OP, where you can "pay" using your points and so long as they scan the coupon, you get the bonus points.

I have redeemed many times and gotten the bonus points on a product from redemption. I've also redeemed 3 times in one day, successfully, regardless of what the rules and regs say.

I have a son graduation this year and I have enough points to do 4 redemptions this sat. and sun. (I am a plus member) So can I buy gift cards (not SDM gift cards but others on their rack) for say $20 each and use these for my redemption for $200. Then will I be able to use these gift cards for his friends for grad gifts???

Can someone clarify this for me. My only reason for buying things at SDM is for the points and redeeming the points. So am I understanding this correctly? I can go into SDM buy a SDM gift card for $100 and receive 1,000 points. Then I can take that $100 GC and puchase items on any given day (bounus points day) and recieve points from the items I just purchased?
If so this is SWEET! I never thought of doing that. What a quick way to add an extra 1000 points.

Yep, that's right Badkins.
That's how I achieved Plus status last year. I bought GC's then used those GC's to buy my perscriptions and got the money back from my drug company. Over the year it's easy to spend $1000 in perscriptions for our household. lol.
So, I got plus status and it really didn't cost me anything. But I'm sure they wouldn't like it if they figured it out. lol. I miss that Ontario does not give points on perscriptions!
This year, I'll have to buy more products also if I want plus status next year though, since they upped the plus status amount.Last edited by bargain_hunter_lola; Mon, Apr 26th, 2010 at 02:55 PM.
