They can type an amount manually for manu coupons, SDM coupons are a code only
But I have had SDM coupons over the price, the system just overrode the amount to the item price

Does the redemption of Optimum Points only cover the non-tax portion of the purchase?
Ex. I want to buy something for $160 and say after taxes, the total is $180. If I redeem 95000 points, it is worth $175. Do I just pay the $5?

No. Redemptions cannot be used to pay taxes. You can redeem 95000 and it will take off the $160, meaning you forfeit the $10 difference. But you cannot use points to pay taxes. It takes money off the pretax amount. You pay taxes on the full pre-redemption amount as well.

I read somewhere that a 20x event is coming very soon.
If I redeem points for the purchase, do I get 20x the points for the whole purchase and not just on what I paid out of pocket?

So I opened a new optimum account for my partner but she never receives any emails at all. I have even changed the emaol address on profile but no email offers. I receive the email that we updated your email address but no weekly offers nothing. Does anyone has any experience with this kind of issue?

Friends, does anyone have the Shoppers Points value calculation?
How much is 1,000 points worth on a regular day, vs. spend your points event?
Would appreiate it a lot

I did this once, but I'm having a hard time remembering = so here's my math, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong (assuming top level redemption). I couldn't remember if the bonus is usually $200 or $210, but I know the biggest redemption lately has been $220 (in June and September)
95,000/170 = ~559 points per dollar
95,000/200 = 475 points per dollar
95,000/210 = ~452 points per dollar
95,000/220 = ~432 points per dollar
And just for fun (since it's been like, a year, or something since it's happened)
95,000 with 30,000 back
65,000/170 = ~382 points per dollarLast edited by luckbealady; Sat, May 2nd, 2015 at 01:45 PM.
