You can get some truly beautiful and handy laminated wall posters that feature the various cuts of beef and pork available in your market, named and illustrated.
There are recipe books too.
I've hung mine in the kitchen and they have been a handy discussion tool - check the flyer specials, check the poster to learn about the cut the flyers have on sale, figure out what the cut is good for and decide whether any given special is worth going after.
The pork wall poster has been posted here before but the beef one has not.
Fresh Pork Cut Chart Poster [laminated, for your wall, about 3ft x 1.5ft]

Beef Merchandising Guide [laminated, for your wall, about 2.5ft x 3ft]
Retail Merchandising Handout (Folded) (bilingual) [paper, also handy. Includes a bit of extra info, good to keep with your cookbooks as a reference to cuts and cooking techniques]

Both sites offer PDF downloads of the posters as well as many other guides and brochures. Make your kitchen look manly: meat! meat! meat! This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by lecale; Fri, Mar 26th, 2010 at 08:13 AM. Reason: added recipes mention
