Hey everyone, I was just wondering what your favourite Peterborough restaurants or pubs are? I'm always looking to try new places and I'd love some ideas on where to go (or where NOT to go for that matter, lol)
I personally like the Olde Stone on George (especially their cheddar ale soup or jerk chicken.. mmm) Anyone else have some ideas? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Hello!
There are so many great places to eat in Peterborough! I like Island Cream, Night Kitchen, and Soupcon (it is so awesomely cheap there!)
I had no idea Riley's sold perogies! But the perogies at the farmers market from Taste of Russia are soooo good!
(Hehehe, I am new to SC :D)

The Olde Stone is great, I've known a few of the cooks there. I used to be a cook at Kelsey's, would NOT recomend them to anyone, McThirsty's Pint on Charlotte is great, they have good food and the owners are really decent people, I've known them a little while and I'm a bit biast on my opinion as my boyfriend is the day cook and our friend is the night cook lol. But I will say one thing, the food is decent and there's god only knows how many types of beer on tap! The Noodle Box on Hunter St is good too and cheap, The Night Kitchenalso on hunter, The Only (one of my faves) also on Hunter, if you like Japanese try Soporo (buffet style, $20/ person, good food though) George St, if you like Chinese Lee Ho's on Aylmer across from the library, Smitty's on George across from Del Quarry, my roomate cooks at Ryley's they've got pretty good food...hmm....OH! The Ritz Deli North on George and Eddinborough is AWESOME! I had coconut curried chicken there one time that was fantastic! If I think of any other really good ones I'll post em!

How can I possibly forget one of my favourites of all, on the corner of Water St, and Parkhill there's a place called Al's Pizza and Yee's Chinese, this place ROCKS they have pizza rolls that are like egg rolls except filled with pizza stuff SO GOOD! And their pizza and chinese food is really good and they're open unti 3 am!
Simply Sushi is good for take out sushi too! It's on Hunter I believe.
Aviemore on McDonnell I think, haven't been there myself but have heard good reviews.
Currie Village is also good it's on George.
Dreams of Beans is a great little cafe on Hunter. Amazing coffee and it's Fair Trade too!
Fifties Goodtime Cafe is great for breakfasts, on Monaghan across from Kenner.
The Original Greek on Water st by the mall entrance (just down from on the same side)
Saporito (not to be confused with Saporo the Japanese place) is an Italian place on Simcoe.
The Saphire room is great for drinks, it's expensive but sometimes worth it, the drink menu is HUGE!
Sin City now has The Tank House out back, food's supposed to be good. Don't know for sure though.
Two Fifty Cafe on Sherbrooke
The planet bakery just up from the trash on water is great for sandwiches, I love the apple and brie sandwich on potato cheddar bread! $6.50 for sandwiches I think but they're great sandwiches!
Cheers!

Marty Moos at 7 and Keene Road, just east of the 115. Very generous helpings. My wife and I split a chicken pot pie and both come out stuffed for $10.
