I'd like to see if anyone also has had the same experience as me. When ever I print out my own coupons from links form this site or from manufacturer sites, my experience in having stores accept them are all over the place! Its very frustrating! Sobey's wont take em, Metro won't take em, Loblaws takes 'em sometimes and not others, same with No Frills. Price Chopper is a no. Shoppers is a hit or miss. Even walmart, is a hit or miss.

If they are so difficult to use, why do manufacturers issue them? What can we as consumers do? I mean I use websaver.ca and brandsaver.ca and gocoupon.ca type coupons, but I'd rather not have to wait a week to get 'em before I can use them.

Any ideas suggestions, anything would help.. Maybe we can start a petition?

    thanks guys

I agree, it's so hit & miss sometimes it's aggravating. I mostly use them with London Drugs. Any other place I might try if it's not busy.

It may be that not many people use those type of coupons, in your area, so the store is not used to receiving them. Perhaps tell them that it is not a photocopy, and bring the whole sheet of paper - don't cut out the coupon - sometimes that helps when they are not sure to take it. Especially for Walmart - this has been the case for me several times, so now I know better and bring them the whole sheet. Tell them the coupon is issued from the manufacturer (they generally say "manufacturer coupon" on them) and perhaps even get the consumer relations number from the coupon so you can contact them when you are at the cash and having problems using their coupon. even call ahead to the stores you are going to shop at and speak to a manager - find out the reasons why they don't want to take the coupon - it could be the cashier is not informed enough and just refuses it... hopes this helps!

If you print the coupon in colour & print the entire web page with the website & link clearly available on top ( so that they can verify the authenticity of the cpn ) ..generally the stores will accept it .

But some stores don't ..as its their official policy from Head Office to not accept printed coupons ...but if the store has no such official policy from the Head Office they should accept the printed coupons . The cashier & Store Manager can't just make up their own rules , they have to follow the company guideline when it comes to printed coupies
