My binder has slots on the inside cover which is great for storing printable coupons. I carry it in a reusable bag and refer to it when I need it and before I pay. I take another thinner binder to keep my flyers in it which is whole punched and refer to it when I need it. I use to take a bunch of flyers to the store but found that they would get all over the place.... I will look into finding 4 x 6 photo sheets and divider tabs. Where can I buy 4 by 6 sheets?

This thread makes me wanna organize my binder.. I have the photo holders for larger and Im gonna go use the baseball card ones for the save.ca n smaller coupons. I need to get a smaller zipper binder I have one of those 5stars from back in my high school days lol but if I remember it was a tad too big.

I used the binder system as well. Just bought the zippered one from WM this weekend, though.
I have a couple very vague categories (Baby, Food, Drinks, Treats, Personal Products,Cleaning, Pets, then a non-titled area of store coupons)
At the very front of my binder I have a special little thing going on. LOL
1. I have a little zipper pouch thing from my personal organizer that I never use. I use it to put newly found coupons on my shopping trips. Once I get home, I organize.
2. I tried this next step out last weekend for the first time, and it has worked for me two weeks in a row - with three kids in tow.
I have two sheets from pictures (they are actually 3 high, double sided - so each sheet has 6 slots). I labelled each pocket/slot with a store name (is: Walmart, Zehrs, Zellers, No Frills, Rexall, SDM, Metro, Sobey's, Food Basics, Foodland, a slot for Toonies for Tummies booklet and an empty).
I put my coupons I plan on using in the appropriate pocket.
3. I copy couponlady's "coupons to use" list into Word. Delete the stores I don't have. Then I delete the items I won't buy from the list. I print the list and slip each sheet into a page protector, which then goes directly behind the sheets in step #2.
ALSO, what I do once I am done with the coupon list, I look at the flyers still, add on anything else I want that is advertised and the price (ie: Hot House tomatoes @ $.77/lb)
4. I have a little check list pad my family uses to tell me what we are in need of, so that gets tucked in my side pouch of the binder.
I open my binder and it is all there, shopping lists, coupons sorted by store, etc. And if I come across a great deal, I have all my coupons right there, too.Last edited by ward.mama; Mon, May 3rd, 2010 at 06:13 AM.

Some of the binders are so pretty!!!! Mine are boring black leather zippered binders that I got at Grand & Toy because I had no patience to go hunting for nicer ones and just wanted to get my binders together. Could have gotten them cheaper too but I just had no patience AT ALL
And yup, I have two
Have too many coupons to keep in just one
Going to the Glebe Garage Sale at the end of the month, if I can find prettier binders maybe I'll get them and sell mine
Love the binder idea though, it works the best!!!!!!!!! The binders are just for my trades, I have two small accordian files for my personal coupons that are always in my purse. I take the bus so I can't drag big binders everywhere with me.
