I am looking into doing Paid Surveys.......but don't want to waste my time. DO THESE THINGS REALLY PAY?
Has anyone ever had good results with them? If so, please recommend which sites are legit.

Yes the do. The problem is that there far more companies out there marketing themselves as "paid survey" that really aren't. And those give the paid survey sites a bad name. When I first started out doing surveys 7 years ago, I made the mistake of blindly signing up for hundreds (literally) of sites. Over the years, I have whittled that list down and can say I am happily (and relatively lucratively) doing surveys still today.

Just remember you NEVER should pay to join a site or participate in one.

Hi Theresa. Have a look on this!

Legerweb is among the largest opinion panels in Canada. Its primary mission is to obtain your opinion via online surveys.
Legerweb.com is a young, dynamic team with experience in technology, customer service and polling.
Legerweb conducts nearly 500 online studies each year.
    - By becoming a member, you can answer surveys with a chance to win one of their monthly prizes: two $1000 cash prizes, one $100 prize or an Apple IPod Touch.
    - Get paid for answeing surveys ($1 til $5) according to the lenght and selection criteria.
    - Get $1 each time you invite someone. Your account will be ajusted once your guest has suscribed and answered at least 1 survey.
    - Collect your money for each $20 accumulated. They are fast payers (10 days, in my mailbox)
    - Accept candidates from Canada and USA.

    Really really *in Shrek voice*
Just heed the good advice of the above posters and some other threads. I was just like you, really leery, but it's alot of fun and a little extra cash is always nice.

Yes they do in fact exist. Make sure you stay away from the ones that promise you sweepstake entries which nobody ever wins. Some pay via paypal and some pay by manual check sent to your home. One tip would be not to rush into answering the survey too quickly or you will be not qualified.

Well, sometimes people do win sweeps, so I wouldn't avoid them all together. And several of the sites, use the initial sweeps entry surveys to qualify you for higher paying surveys or focus groups down the road. So I wouldn't, by any means, make them the bulk of what you do, but they are worth doing from time to time. Personally, I have won sweeps ranging from $5 to one for $1,000 once doing surveys.

Some surveys do pay, just be careful because there are lots of survey sites out there that are a scam or just flood your email with junk. One that I have had good results with are Pinecone (big thumbs up) and Opinion Outpost.

Yep Pinecone Research always pays. I have been doing surveys for them for several years. You will get your cheque for $5.00 within a week of completing the survey. They send
me about one per month, sometimes two.
