I started my new meds Friday and I'm not allowed to have Coffee while on them (grrrr) and I've been really cold and loving my morning coffee! While I do have my Green Tea to drink I think I'd love some apple cider, it must be the time of year! I was wondering if anyone knew of any good Apple Cider packets you would just add water too that is really good. I am going out today and don't worry I plan to grab a cup of Apple Cider from Tim Hortons, it really is divine! But if anyone knows of some good packeted Cider I'd love to know. Thanks in advance!

C'mon there has to be someone here that uses Apple Cider at home! Oh I guess I should have mentioned that I'm not looking for Apple Cider recipes just some brand of mix that I can add to a mug of hot water!

Hi, Tara..I'm guessing there's not much in the marketplace re hot apple cider mix.
But if you want to make a powder in quantity that you can use in apple juice, I found this:...
2 tablespoons sweetened lemonade drink mix
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
hot apple juice
Or
1 tsp. Cinnamon,
1/4 tsp. nutmeg,
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4c real maple syrup
1tsp frozen lemonade (or maybe those little lemon packets?
Make up larger quantity and store in fridge.. and add to apple juice...
HTH!I have the best job in the world!!

I've bought the packets before and found them rather nasty to be honest. Youd be better off buying a jug of the real stuff and just heating it up everyday. What about flavoured green teas? I love the lipton raspberry and acai berry. Its really yummy.
But seriously just grab a jug from your local store, in the fresh produce section. There is nothing like fresh cider.Last edited by Sally888; Sun, Oct 3rd, 2010 at 11:53 AM.

Epicure sells an amazing mulling spice for apple juice, similar to what lynn put but you just have to scoop the spice out and add to apple juice haha.

I honestly have never seen the Apple cider powder from tims for sale, its not even on their website for purchase. It must of been available a long time ago but isn't anymore. On that note quite a few timmies dont even have the cider
Our local one doesn't, next town over does.

I bought a mulling spice - brand - simply organic - at Scoop and save for 2.99....makes 2 L - you simmer it with apple juice and it is the best I have had...it has directions for individual servings as well......I have tried the packets at the grocery store - do not remember the brand - but it was red .....maybe Lych's and did not care for it.....

I used to find one type of Apple Cider mix in gift shops, etc.. It came in a little milk carton type of container. You just add a spoonful to your apple juice and heat it up... as much or as little as you like! Ummm... apple cider sounds yummy right about now, too!
