Canada Post: Did they lose my package?

Okay, so I have been waiting for a package to come. I have been tracking it online. There hasn't been a status update on it since the 9th. I was supposed to arrive on Friday but didn't.

How long do I wait until I inquire about it. I just think it is weird there is no status update since tuesday and it's past the date it was supposed to arrive.

wait until the log says "item out for delivery." if you don't receive the package on that day or the day after, it's time to give them a call.

wait a few more days.. i find thier tracking isn't all that great.. i've seen some where it takes 4-5 days for it to be updated or where the package is out for delivery but doesn't say "processed" yet in my local town

there could also be a chance that due to the holiday on thursday some things didn't get done causing it to take another day

Don't forget Thursday ( remembrance day was a holiday for Canada Post ) ..sometimes a holiday like that screws up the whole delivery schedule ..& again sat/sun after that was a holiday .

I would say give it a couple of days more ..you should get it

Canada Post only updates their tracking system at the start of each new business day. Sometimes a package will arrive at my house and at CanadaPost.ca it will still say "received at postal facility."

I've had items last processed in Manitoba on one day and 1 week later, show up on my doorstep before any updates show up on the website. I don't rely on the tracking system at all. It isn't accurate.

All I know is that their 3 business days shipping isn't worth it since, it was mailed the 8th and it is now the 15th and still no package.

Any idea how I can get money back on shipping since the 3 day express post guarentee has now passed and no package?

The sender has to initiate a claim through customer service. The phone number is listed in the phone book.

I got my package today...along with another item that I had ordered friday...I don't understand this mail system.

Glad you got it! You have to realize there was a holiday in there - and lots took off the friday as well, then a weekend - so from when you ordered on the 8th, today is only the fourth/fifth business day since ...

My main worry was that the status wasn't being updated. I was worried it had gotten stuck behind a machine or left behind on a truck etc. It was also shipped via express post which was supposed to have a 2 or 3 business day guarantee, which with the holiday would have made delivery on Friday the 12th.
