some Rexall's will not accept it since it's one penny more than the product price...however some Rexalls will put it in at $1.99. YMMV on this one.

Did you have them swipe your card first and then the stuff and then the coupons? I know in the past I never got regular airmiles on my purchases if I used coupons and my total was less than $10. I wonder if there is some kind of order to it.

I always give them the air miles card first and get them to swipe it and then my coupons. Has been working so far.

I had no idea you could use FPCs for this! My mom read this thread this morning and said we had to go to Rexall today and try it. So armed with a handful of FPCs, we tried it!

    I got:
2 Vaseline intensive care ($4.79 each, FPCs)
2 Air Wick iMotion compact ($9.99 each, 1 for mail in rebate, 1 FPC)
    6 Royale tissues ($0.49 each, $1 WYB6 coupon)
Hannah Montana nail kit ($9.99 - Christmas gift for niece who loves Hannah!)
    2 Stayfree ($1.99, two FPCs)
    6 2 pack paper towels ($0.49 each)
    2 Triscuit ($1.29, 2 x $1 coupon)

which comes to $51.01 before coupons, and $30.43 after coupons and taxes. It says the Air Miles are awarded "after discounts", so does that mean if I had used the SPC card too, I wouldn't have qualified? I was going to, but my mom had it with her and she was loading her stuff in the car. I thought I was going to be over after the discount - the shelf price for the iMotions was $12.99 - but I was worried when they rang in it $9.99, so I might not have used it even if I could have (at least not without grabbing something else)

I would have been able to do it again if only they carried Melitta World Harvest coffee or Stouffer's bistro - I had $50 in those easily. I wish I had saved my Stouffer's entree coupons because they did carry those. They had regular Delisso pizzas but not the crispy ones I had FPCs for. Ah well, I think I did okay for my first time

My mom had FPCs for Cottonelle wipes (2), Healthy Choice Steamers (2), Pro Health toothpaste (2), Vaseline (1). Hers came to $51.33 after the SPC discount (no line is given for that discount - each price on the receipt is shown discounted instead) and $30.95 after tax and coupons. She will also be submitting her receipt for the Air Wick rebate, so we each spent about $20 out of pocket and when we redeem for a Metro gift card, the 100 points will be worth $12.50! (160 pts is a $20 gc). I earn Air Miles very slowly so this was a nice bonus for me - I finally have enough to redeem Air Miles for the first time, and I'm halfway to another gift card (I had 145 pts). Well, at least I will once these points show up

Thanks again for this great tip! I will definitely save my FPCs and rebate purchases until the next promo. Does anyone know if this kind of promo happens very often? Rexall isn't very close to us so we don't shop there too often, but this was too good a deal to pass up.
Trade List ~^~ Let's trade! ~^~ Wish List

I was thinking about doing it again today. Does it work twice in one weekend? Or should I wait for next time. Hopefully they do it again before Christmas. There sure has been alot of promos for large sums of airmiles lately!

Thanks! This was the first time I participated in a Rexall AM promotion with FPC's. Wow! I managed to get 100 AM spending less than $7 OOP.

The only almost-snag to my plan was the J&J replacement coupon said that it covers taxes, so the cashier wanted to ring it in separately. I had to tell them that I was trying for the $50 promo, and insisted that they ring everything in on one bill. They, of course, didn't think I would get the bonus AM, but I said I still wanted to try.

All FPCs now include taxes (unless it specifies taxes not included and then even though the CRA rules state they are, stores wont include it in case they wont get it back) and they should be treated like reg coupons. I went to a different Rexall yesterday and the cashier was great, she took all my FPCs first, subtotalled them and inc taxes on each one then did my other items

Jeniana that's awesome!!! And yes, Rexall does the bonus air miles promo quite often...at least based on the last month anyway. There have been 3 "bonus airmiles" events in the past month...the first two that I did were one week apart! Save up those FPCs...between Rexall and Metro you're sure to score to score Airmiles much faster than before! Have fun!

Oh, I'm glad you pointed out the situation with the SPC card. I didn't use mine there before so now I know that SPC is a "discount". I'll plan to ensure my total is higher to ensure I don't fall below $50 after the SPC discount is applied. thanks!

Yes you can do it more than once in one weekend. I didn't go this past weekend, but during the last promo I did two on the Saturday and another shop on the Sunday using up my FPCs and coupons. Got all my bonus airmiles in my accout within two weeks! Already redeemed for great stuff! super happy!

Good for you to make sure they kept in all on one bill! Nice haul on the airmiles and great job on use of your FPCs! I think we've found our new fave hobby. SDM, Metro, Rexall...those are now moved to the front of my handbag coupon folder!!!
