What is your Skin Care routine?

I wish people would stop using the term 'porcelain' to describe a skin ideal. Dark/Olive/Yellow/etc. skin can be gorgeous too. It seems awfully racist to me.

'Tersaseptic' anti-bacterial acne cleanser. Found at shoppers, etc. One bottle lasts forever and very effective.

I'm an Avene girl. I use their cleansing gel, gommage (3 or 4 times a week) and the Calming lotion. I have rosacea, lucky me, and extremely sensitive skin. I've been using Avene for about 2 months off and off and I've finally got myself a routine down that seems to work. Too bad, the wind and cold in the winter irritates rosacea and then the heat in the summer.

Burt's Bees Natural Anti-Blemish Pore Refining Scrub & Moisturizing lotion.

I never really had an acne problem growing up, but I have suffered from dry skin & had to use several facial creams so my face would look moist. I don't get that dry looking skin when I use Burt's.

Estrosense is a product by Preferred Nutrition or Lorna Vanderhaeghe. It has ingredients like Chastetree to help regulate hormones. If you get hormonal acne (for me, severe breakouts right before my period that clears up a bit afterwards), it could be a sign that your hormones are out of whack. You can also try Chastetree (also called Vitex) on its own as well. I started Estrosense first and found it works quite well. It's a bit pricey so once I'm done this bottle, I'm switching over to pure Vitex since it's quite a bit cheaper and should have similar effects. My doctor suggested I try it because I wasn't interested in going on a prescription acne medication or birth control or something similar.

Evening Primrose Oil is an Omega Oil that is supposed to be specifically good for the skin and hormone issues like PMS. I take 1000mg a day. I just started this two weeks ago and I've noticed a big difference.

Well, would you believe that despite all the anti-allergy hype I've actually had an allergic reaction to Clinique skincare products? I used their toner for oily skin and ended up with what looked and felt like a sunburn. I've stayed away from there skincare products ever since. I'm a lot more positive about their make-up. Great range of colours and makes you look good without being too overdone.

I swear by Paula Begoun's products. Since I started using them my skin looks awesome. I also go by her recommended products list when shopping at the store.

In the morning I just wash my face with warm water and a face cloth...
At night I use cleanser to remove makeup and toner sometimes and moisturizer but only if I need it because my skin is naturally very oily so I usually only need a bit of moisturizer in the winter on my cheeks and that is it.
