Any Caregivers to Elderly Parents out there?

Oh, Skippy...you're far too hard on yourself. You're only human, after-all, and who said we should strive for perfection! Only one person is that, and He's there for you anytime you call on Him. Give up your guilt...like Avon said, stick it somewhere in a deep dark place...it's dragging you down with it. Your pain brings you down, but don't confuse concern with guilt.
We can only do what we're capable of doing. I look back on how I cared for my Mom. Could I have done better? Absolutely. But I tried to be as understanding and caring as I could be, but I was still 'me', and I did all that 'me' could do. I don't look back with any regrets....both she and I know I could only do what I could manage and that she was and still is, loved very much.

Remember: "LET GO AND LET GOD."

It was my mantra for many, many years.....
