Tanya from SDM Facebook mentioned that the company is currently reviewing its coupon policy and hopefully they'll be able to provide us with an official one soon.
If you have any questions about coupon use @ SDM, go on Facebook and join the discussion. SDM Facebook -> Discussions -> Shoppers Drug Mart Coupon Policy. Tanya will forward any questions you have to customer service so they could come up with a reasonable coupon policy for all coupon users. There may be issues that we coupon users have encountered in the past that SDM customer service may not be aware of. Let's help improve SDM's coupon policy as best as we can~

COol... tanks..
I can't believe it takes more than 2 months for them to figure out their coupon policy...this clearly shows how they don't have a clue & don't have anything really to go by but the assumptions of stupid employees that feel that we are trying to steal when we use our coupons !

I think no matter what policy is going to come up even though each store has its own policy. They should put it in black and white somewhere inside the store. In case if there is a hassle, we can just point to that paper. We expect there is a consistency coupon policy from every employee in the same store even though every store may have slightly different. I don't really like some employee just make up his/her own rule if he/she thinks it is impossible with such and such .....

That is interesting! A lot of great questions have been asked and they seem to be truly interested in listening and helping.
I can't say I agree with the fellow who is being so confrontational and brash (aka: rude) and then linking them over to this site. I don't want to be associated with that type of behaviour. How can you expect excellent customer service from cashiers when you treat/speak to people like that?!? If you want to be treated well, then you need to treat others well.

I posted something on this discussion after reading all 3 pages of complaints I wanted to give a solution! Hopefully this will encourage others to speak up and mention how wonderful LD's is at accepting coupons, so maybe SDM should do the same??
here's what I wrote:
I would suggest that SDM look at their competitions' coupon policy and try to adapt one policy chain-wide. I think that London Drugs has EXCEPTIONAL customer service and is WONDERFUL to use coupons at and I would think that if SDM adopted a policy like LD's they would be more competitive and coupon-friendly, and the result would be happier customers!
If you need an unofficial coupon policy from London Drugs, it is available online by a simple Google search.

I agree with Kelly, that's not acceptable. The guy who did that should be ashamed. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
I've been posting on their page about a number of issues, I hope something official comes up soon.

Thanks for sharing this, I tried calling their head office and have had no luck getting through. Keep getting put on hold. I have now voiced my concerns on the Facebook site.

I went to a Shoppers Drug Mart today and they didn't accept printable coupons nor did they pricematch so I walked out empty handed. Meanwhile, 5 minutes away at a different Shoppers, they did BOTH! Odd how it can be so different.

My local SDMs never pricematch and they no longer take printed (they used to, but not anymore due to high fraud)
SDMs are independently owned so their policies do vary greatlyYou aren't earning $25+ every month using Swagbucks to search? Why Not?
