SAD UPDATE - A friend of mine's son has been missing in Ottawa since last Tuesday...

A friend and colleague of mine's son has been missing in Ottawa since last Tuesday evening.

He is a 19 year old student, named Michael Pineau, originally from Mattawa, in Ottawa for school and disappeared in Ottawa last Tuesday evening.

My friend and his family have spent most of the past six days in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Ottawa</st1:City></st1:place> looking for Michael to no avail and the search is now being scaled back.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

If any of you have friends, family or colleagues in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Ottawa</st1:City></st1:place> area and don’t mind sharing the attached poster/details with them, it would be greatly appreciated.

He does look familiar. I live in the area though, and keep seeing the posters EVERYWHERE. A friend of mine went missing about 5.5 years ago, the wait is heartbreaking
