I've looked at it, but it's usually the people with horrible experiences who are on there the most.
Not very reliable; I sure wouldn't go by anything on there.

I think I'd be inclined to agree with Natalka on this one.
And that makes it a sad state of affairs really-- because as a human race, we tend to complain more often, but rarely tell people or boast about the good things.
That being said though, I had not heard of this site before, so out of curiosity, I looked up what ppl were saying about my family doc...and I have to say, they couldn't be more bang on the money. What they posted was actually quite fair. Go figure.

Oh wow, I didn't know about this site!
Looked up my doctor and everyone seems to have the same opinion as me, at least I know I'm not the only one who isn't a fan.

Same with our family doctor. Their complains are what we complain about too, it's weird seeing other people notice the same things..

Looked up my Dr. though can't really compare since i've only seen him once since I switched to him when my old dr. retired. But he does have a rule that if you don't see him at least once in 4 years that he will drop you as a patient. So because i'm healthy and haven't seen him I have to come on with a reason to and see him and take up a sick person's spot just to keep a dr.

Looked up my former doc, has an average rating from 20 raters, about what I expected, but how does a person access the comments? Couldn't figure out how.
Also, I noticed when I googled this site that another site came up below it, and that one is Canadian practitioners trying to do away with the site that gives them ratings. (isn't that ironic?)Last edited by Valiant; Tue, Mar 22nd, 2011 at 01:35 PM.

I looked up our doctor and like me, everyone gave him rave reviews...we really are blessed to have him! So...people who are impressed with their docs post also...I think if there's a swing one way or the other en masse, it's probably a good indicator of how he or she is doing....jmho...

I wish they had a section to rate staff. Our old doctor's receptionist was the most horrible, angry b-word I've ever met. She was always rude to us, and actually got us REMOVED from that doctor's office (we'd been going there since before I was born) because she said my mom spoke to her rudely. My mom is the kindest person I've ever met, she rarely raises her voice to anyone. She absolutely was not rude at all when speaking to her, but the receptionist was just a huge cow with a grudge.

Yuck, I looked up my old eye doctor / surgeon that I had as a kid and as expected he had horrible reviews - and amazingly he's STILL WORKING! You actually have no idea how bad this guy was 10 yrs ago (and back then he was probably 50!), so I can't imagine how much ruder he has gotten over the years...
