speaking of tips I learned a while a go (nothing to do with cleaning) but I was taught not to tip very much at restaurants. Met my Husband he was working in restaurant Bar tending after a while of me wundering why he left very good tips to servers or bar tenders is because they do not get paid mimimum wage they get paid about half of minimum wage so they really really relie on tips to support them selves and or family. So I try really hard to leave at least 20% of my bill minimum. If a server worked 4 hrs and only had 10 tables and everyone was leaving a $2.00 tip they would only come home with $10.00 that is sad so with everyone saving money remember to tip you servers well it might jusk make their day as well

i have a tip to soften Hard Brown Sugar.. i know it works ...i have tried it.
Use foil or plastic wrap to cover the top of the sugar then set a dampened sheet of paper towel (not dripping wet) on top of the foil. Seal in an airtight container and let sit overnight or a few days as needed. Remove foil and paper towel once the towel is dry and sugar is fresh again.

One thing that works for accidentally washed cell phones or small electronics put the electronic in a bowl and cover with minute rice for about 2 days and the rice absorbs all the water, I have only tryed this once but it worked, and what harm can it cause if the phone doesn't work anyway.
Also lemon juice and tooth paste mixed to create a thinner paste will remove water stains from wood

There's a lot of really useful tips here! Thanks everyone. Most I knew, but some I didn't!
My sister is a bartender and her wage is just tips. I always tell her to flash her boobs (size H!) to get more tips from the drunk ones!
She has 2 other jobs to make ends meet. I feel badly for those bartenders who only bar-tend as there are no other jobs here.

If you have purchase a container of ice cream you probably hate the ice that forms on it after you open it. Yes you can put plastic wrap over the ice cream thats left before you put it back in the freezer, but an easier way to stop the ice crystals from forming is to put it back in the freezer up-side down. It really works, I have been doing it for years.

Be nice to someone on SC today, pay it forward

isn't it illegal to pay someone just in tips?

I don't think that's legal either.
My tip, I use a lot of Pyrex dishes. Normally I put parchment paper in the bottom before baking meats in them to prevent the food from getting stuck on, but not everyone in my household is as diligent.
Recently one pan got a mess of burned on meatloaf stuck to it, and it wasn't coming off. I put in some hot water and a dishwasher tablet, left it overnight. The baked on mess practically fell off by itself!$815 in Amazon GCs and counting!
