This is so priceless and so easy to see happening - customer service, being what it is today!

A lady died this past January, and the Royal Bank billed her for February and March for their annual service charges on her credit card, and
Then added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance had
Been $0.00, now is somewhere around $60.00.

A family member placed a call to the Royal Bank:

Family Member:
'I am calling to tell you that she died in January.'

Royal Bank:'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'

Family Member:
'Maybe, you should turn it over to collections.'

Royal Bank:
'Since it is two months past due, it already has been..'

Family Member:
So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?'

Royal Bank PAC:
'Either report her account to the frauds division or report her to
The credit bureau, maybe both!'

Family Member:
'Do you think God will be mad at her?'

Royal Bank:
'Excuse me?'

Family Member:
'Did you just get what I was telling you . . . The part about her
Being dead?'

Royal Bank:
'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor.'

Supervisor gets on the phone:
Family Member:
'I'm calling to tell you, she died in January.'

Royal Bank:
'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'

Family Member:
'You mean you want to collect from her estate?'

Royal Bank:
(Stammer) 'Are you her lawyer?'

Family Member:
'No, I'm her great nephew.'
(Lawyer info given)

Royal Bank:
'Could you fax us a certificate of death?'

Family Member:
'Sure.'
( fax number is given )

After they get the fax:

Royal Bank:
'Our system just isn't set up for death. I don't know what more I
Can do to help.'

Family Member:
'Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing Her. I don't think she will care.'

Royal Bank :
'Well, the late fees and charges do still apply.'

Family Member:
'Would you like her new billing address?'

Royal Bank:
'That might help.'

Family Member:
' Rookwood Memorial Cemetery , 1249 Centenary Rd, Sydney Plot Number
1049.'

Royal Bank:
'Sir, that's a cemetery!'

Family Member: 'Well, what the F..k do you do with dead people on your planet?'........

Good morning, everyone.

Going on very little sleep today - by the time I fell asleep it was 3am, then at 4am the phone rang, the paper delivery idiot wanted me to let him in. I was so out of it when I answered, I thought he was trying to sell me a subscription and said no thanks, it was only after I hung up that I realized he was trying to get in to deliver the paper. Just tossed and turned after that until the brats were ready to get up.

I`m supposed to run the errands today I didn`t do yesterday, but they might just have to wait. I think it`s more important to play with the brats today. They both seem to have a touch of spring fever, racing around like puppies and kittens. I`m exhausted just watching them. If only I could bottle their energy, I could make a mint.

Good Morning. It is sunny out there. Hey Andi, I made spinach dip yesterday too. Mine was a hit & we all seemed to eat a little bit too much. Maybe we could trade recipes.

You forgot to bring Lily home a doggy loot bag? Quincy had to be subjected to doggy smells? Oh! those poor babies. Make them some pumpkin bones soon & they will forgive you.

I am at PMH tomorrow for my all day hospital adventures. Have a nice day everyone.

I tinkered with a recipe from the Kraft website.

Spinach Dip
1/2 package frozen spinach, drained, finely chopped (I let the blender have at it )
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup ranch dressing
1/3 cup grated parm (I just added til I thought there was enough, might have been a wee bit more than this much )

Mix it all together and go crazy. It is a bit runny tho, so next time I might have to really really dry out the spinach or add a little cream cheese to thicken things (my neighbour suggested using Greek yogurt instead of sour cream to thicken it, might try that next time, we`ll see).


As for the pumpkin bones, that will have to wait til after Halloween - what else am I going to do with a great big Jackolantern on Nov 1st besides roast its carcass and puree it so that the canines around here can have yummy treats (the beets have been bad enough, you do not want to know how much space roasted pureed jackolantern takes up ).

got word from my sister that the biopsy on my brother was inconclusive again.

Wonder if all the good techs went on unscheduled vacations after the Ford fiasco. My results were inconclusive as well, but the doctors are taking it as a good sign and just monitoring me for now. Since I`m actually feeling better, I`m sure in my case it`s just a tired kidney that`s been through the wringer this year with all the non-sense (3 rounds of anaesthetic, several rounds of anti-biotics to deal with all these infections that just wouldn`t die, etc).
