    Great tribute!

    Rick played piano on the entire Hunky Dory album.
    Given that knowledge, well worth another listen just for the piano. Brilliant all the way through.

    With Ronson on guitar, it is no wonder, it is my favourite album start to finish.

    Keyboards on Hunky Dory were by Rick Wakeman, but I can't come up a Yes song or Wakeman solo that sounds like it.
    I am sure he played the cord on Six Wives or with Yes but couldn't find it.
    @jester you did like this post from back in 2012, perhaps you forgot Rick Played on Hunky Dory!

    If—

    BY RUDYARD KIPLING

    If you can keep your head when all about you
    Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
    If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
    But make allowance for their doubting too;
    If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
    Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
    Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
    And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

    If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
    If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
    If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
    And treat those two impostors just the same;
    If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
    Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
    Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
    And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:

    If you can make one heap of all your winnings
    And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
    And lose, and start again at your beginnings
    And never breathe a word about your loss;
    If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
    To serve your turn long after they are gone,
    And so hold on when there is nothing in you
    Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’

    If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
    Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,
    If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
    If all men count with you, but none too much;
    If you can fill the unforgiving minute
    With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
    Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
    And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

    Here is one for you, not sure I have posted this little tid bit before.
    Mick Ronson backed Cougar on Jack and Diane, guitar and vocals!

    In a 2008 interview with Classic Rock magazine, Mellencamp recalled:
    "Mick was very instrumental in helping me arrange that song, as I'd thrown it on the junk heap. Ronson came down and played on three or four tracks and worked on the American Fool record for four or five weeks. All of a sudden, for 'Jack & Diane,' Mick said 'Johnny, you should put baby rattles on there.' I thought, 'What the does put baby rattles on the record mean?' So he put the percussion on there and then he sang the part 'let it rock, let it roll' as a choir-ish-type thing, which had never occurred to me. And that is the part everybody remembers on the song. It was Ronson's idea."

    Think about it, those electric buzz chords are all Mick!

    A committed memory, plus good at the search option, I knew I had posted the fact.

    Actually I have re-posted Wakeman's significance to Hunky Dory a couple of times hence...
    My two favourite bands from the Early Seventies, Bowie and YES and they collaborated.
    Hell yeah I knew that!

    BUT did you know...

    Who "arranged" Cat Stevens popularization of the classic hymn "Morning Has Broken"?
