    @mumtoo

You bet! There are coupons for produce if you know where to look.
In Ottawa, we have a produce cash and carry (in the south end) that prints coupons in the smartsaver (tiny little advertising magazine that comes every 2-3 months)!! It'll have things like 5lbs mushrooms for $8 or $0.29/lb for up to 5lbs of bananas! It's one that I always check my mailbox for

    All Prices are before coupons:

0.89 cents for Lipton Side Kicks
    1$ for 900g of pasta
0.50 for an individual small can of soup (Ckn nood/veg/crm of mush/tomato)
    4.99 for a Case of soup (12 cans = .42 cents each)
1.50 for a can of Chunky soup
1.66 a box of hamburger helper
    2.50 for 8 yogurt drinks
    0.66 for Heinz Beans/Alphagetti
6.99 for 216 Tetley Tea bags
13.99 for a Mega bag of diapers
2$ per sleeve of wipe refills (IE: 3 pack of refills should be 6$ or less)
7$ for a Diaper Genie refill

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head... I then try to always use coupons on top of these prices to make it an even better deal

LOVE THIS THREAD! It should become a sticky!
    Keep Smiling!
    Super Mel

It would be great to put this as a wiki. We were doing something similar in the Vancouver board. That way if we put province - store - price (always before/without coupons) then it can be edited if something gets even cheaper. Putting the store means we could have a few different prices for the item if someone doesn't have that store near them they can still see others.

Walmart Anniversary Sale - late September
Jamieson Vitamin C bonus pack of 120 = $3.99. Sometimes there is even a coupon too.

I live in Ottawa and look for lean ground beef for 1.99 lb. I usually get anywhere from 20 to 30 pounds and am almost out so it should be going on sale somewhere again soon.

This is the key to couponing - KNOW YOU'RE PRICING!!!

    I used to think 3.49 was a great deal for a taco kit...now I know it goes on sale for 2.99 regularly...combine with a $1 coupon...DEAL!!!

I like the idea of listing prices NOT including coupons...lowest price you can get in the store...then it is up to indivduals to add coupons to reduce further (due to east vs west coast/stacking availability and so on...most of Easterners can't get what you westerners can for free).

Philadelphia Cream Cheese 400g - 2.77 - Rock Bottom Price!
    Crispers - $1
Cheese Slices (name brand) - 1.99
    Eggos - 1.79
    Toaster Studel - 1.99
    Herbal Essences - 1.99

Is there any way to do this similiar to the "Official Deals..." thread where it can just be updated/edited maybe alphabetically????

I'm the author of the Alpha deals thread, I use a spreadsheet extensively to prepare it, and can do much of what you are asking.

My focus for that thread was for stores in the Ottawa area, It was for my personal use, so no need to generate for stores that I cannot goto. It is also a lot of work, because the current Official thread is inconsistent in format and data placement, so decoding it is very time consuming as it essentially has to be re-typed in.

The difficulty I've had is keeping the data synchronized with the official thread.

I proposed a change to the Deals string back on May 6, maybe some of you have seen my other threads so you might have seen the alternate presentation.

My proposed string is two way compatible. The spreadsheet can read the string and decipher to data and it can also encode the string to the expected wiki format required in these posts.

It included page references( for price matching) and a place to put the Regular, Non-sale, price) actual coupon references and details etc. I should add a place for X-week Average and lowest advertised, as per the suggestions of this thread)

Change and data importation would than be trivial and much of the work then becomes matching coupons to deals rather than wiki formating.

Maybe some of you have seen the "Buy today..." Thread, it is also generated from the same spreadsheet.

I currently have data from the last 6 weeks, both unit sale prices and deals calculation ( with applied coupons )
