I agree it sucks that the story was done but she is only doing what we are already doing. It's a combination of all of the press, the tv show, and the coupon classes that is making it come to this.

sounds like Angela Bunch is doing a great job with her couponing here in Red Deer, that is awesome. That is what everyone on smartcanucks is also trying to do everyday. However; now that several thousand people have viewed the article, the amount being saved by just one person, the ease at which she makes it appear ( which it is pretty easy ), the details or stacking, sites to get coupons, you have to wonder if this will help or hinder the coupon finds in Red Deer?

Im not sure what the result will be, I hope it is a posivie response and ease cashiers into accepting more coupons easily. Im not great at stacking, so she is clearly more skilled than I, but practice makes perfect. How has anyone elses response been to stacking at Save on? Is it easier just to do it at LD?

It's harder at LD now. Almost impossible with recent changes

I stacked at SOF today and it was great. Done it a handful of times now. I got $300 in groceries and spent $102. All the stacks I tried the other day and was turned down at LD were no issue at SOF.

Thanks for some positive news. LD doesn't let me stack anything anymore. Does Save-On Price match. Thinking of doing my Dove stacks there instead.

No price matching.They used to price match Safeway and IGA years ago.

I was at SOM at 9 am this morning and the cashier stated her coupon drawer was already full. She said since the newspaper article the number of coupons being used has increased like crazy.

My thought is that it isn't just a newspaper article that is hindering the stacking in Red Deer because LD took away stacking before the article was out. It is everything combined, newspaper articles, the tv show, the CTV news reports, and the coupon classes coming into Red Deer and even sites like this. It is the exposure of all the great deals that everyone is getting and who doesn't want a great deal!

Im just hoping the hype of it will all blow over soon. I think much like just after Christmas everyone is in a fenzy to get a gym membership and within a few months only the true die hards remain. Some ppl Im hoping have the idea its so easy to use coupons but then realize it does take some time and you get what you put into it. Here's to hoping...
