when i get a burn i just keep it under cold water until the pain stops.
then just keep it clean and dry.

if it's just a regular little burn, it doesn't blister and the dead skin comes off after a few days. i'm not sure how bad you burn is.

i've only ever had one bad burn and that was when i was 7. it blistered up badly because of my mom's inability to deal with it. (putting it nicely)

this reminds me of all the old wives tales i tried out on my burns- Putting salt on it (DONT DO IT! LOL) -putting toothpaste on it (Not a good idea) -Putting some cold butter on it (didnt see how it was any different then putting cold water on it!)

    Conclusion:

Plain ol cold tap water , run it on the burned area until you feel no pain.
If the burn is bad and you get a blister put some Polysporin- it'll reduce the scarring, otherwise for minor burns it better if you just let it dry out.

Run it under cool water. Aloe Vera Gel works great. If you have blisters be careful not to pop them.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your suggestions.

It's just a little burn, I'm jus kinda scared it may become a scar on my leg.
No one wants to have a mark on your leg, right?

How much you have burnt? First of all tell me than I can recommend you something for use to prevent from burnt spot on that place. Cold water and ice is also used for this to recover.

Called Telehealth about a minor burn recently. The only thing that was recommended is if there's a blister, put polysporin and cover it up. If it's very painful or shows any sign of infection at any point, see a doctor. I used gauze to wrap it up. I had a small blister but it wasn't openned so i was instructed to put the polysporin and cover it up, especially at night.

There is a life brand aloe vera gel with lidocaine in it. I don't know if it's any good but a pharmacist might be able to advise you.

I use the actual aloe vera plant. Just cut off a piece and squeeze the gel onto the burn...works for me.

I also use this method. Aloe Vera is the best natural substance for burns IMO

I always use icepacks! The ones that are squishy and in a bag I find works best as I like wrapping it in a towel and putting it on the burn. It just wraps around the burn really well. I usually fall asleep with it.. lol

I also use numbing cream if it really hurts. I've been known to break open a Advil gel cap (the blue/green ones) to put on a burn. Not an open wound burn though!

Ching Wan Hung. This is a Chinese herbal ointment. My family has been using this ever since I can remember. It is very effective. If you do not easily form a keloid, then this ointment leaves your skin a minimum scar. This is best on fresh burns. Look for this on Chinese pharmacies and drugstores.
