price match at Freshco

I went to Freshco and tried to price match shoppers drugmart bathroom tissue and purex that were on sale but they said they will only price match major food stores like Zehrs and Basics, Etc.

Just a heads up I hope I posted this on the right forum

They told me the same thing when i tried to Price match Shopper's drug mart.

No Frills has the same policy, they match other and competing grocery stores (so they wont match their sister stores like Fortinos/Loblaws/RCSS)

I did pm at no frill before with RCSS with no problem may be they change now

They make it so difficult to Price Matching there....they mark up your flyer too so you can't Price Match the next day either.

I was able to PM SDM to No frills without any problems.

I just hope they still allow coupons with Price Matching.

Ya I was just there at FreshCo and tried to PM Z2.ellers for Oasis juice at $2.49 and they said they don't PM to Zellers but because I had just one PM from there, she said no problem, gave it to me for $2.48 and then of course I had a $1 off coupon - $1.48 - not bad!

At my Freshco they with PM grocery stores and Walmart but not Zellers or Giant Tiger etc. They also have a limit of two of the same item for each pm.

My FreshCo posted a list of the stores they will price match when they first opened under the banner. They included Food Basics, Loblaws, No Frills and Wal-mart, but excluded SDM, Canadian Tire (they sell cheap milk and eggs in my neighbourhood), and I *think* they also excluded Giant Tiger, although I could be wrong about that one.

same here! I wanted to PM yogurt from SDM flyer & she said only grocery stores they can PM.

I don't often PM at my FreshCo because they make such a big deal about it.

When I ask to PM an item, they have to call a manager/head cashier for an override, who is usually sitting in a little office at the end of the cash registers...so you have to wait...

The last time I tried to PM something (2 loaves of bread), the manager was walking by the cash register at the moment, so the cashier said, 'Can you do a price match?" The manager said she would be "right there." So we waited...as she went to another cash register to help with something there, then went to her little office, then came back but kept walking by and collected up some baskets and then went to the front of the store to put them away...I couldn't believe it! But at the same time I was feeling so embarrassed for holding up the line.

I kept telling to the cashier to forget it but she kept saying that the manager would "be right there". I finally firmly said that I had changed my mind and I did not want the bread. So she finished my transaction. As I was packing up my groceries, the manager FINALLY arrived and asked what was to be price matched. The cashier said, "You took too long." The manager just huffed and started walking back towards her office. I bit my tongue so hard I could taste blood. That and I kept my head down and packed quickly because I was still embarrassed about how I had held up the line just to save $1.00 on 2 loaves of bread!

Sorry for the long story....was dying to tell someone!

At my location they only allow 2 of each PM item and also they do not PM any "pharmacies" only "competitors"

Thanks for posting that, I didnt know. Another reason why I mostly PM at Walmart.
