I'm finding that there's hardly ever a 25% off sale for Onyx anymore... at one point I thought they had actually gotten rid of it. Six months ago I would have agreed, but not this summer.

Girl I talked to in the office also said the are going to reduce the 25% discount to 15% on the BMO Airmiles Master Cards. Hope it's not true.

Wow that would be another kick in the butt on top of the kick in the but last year when they changed the 25% discount to just NA

No, they appear to be two separate offers:

1. 2,000 for spending $500

2. 2,000 for applying for a Platinum AMEX with the fee waived in the first year.

All Westjet flights are currently discounted...

Booked a flight to Vancouver for 25% off. Redemption value works out to $0.24/AM.
Also rented a car with redemption value of $0.21/AM. Budget is running a promo to earn 75 AM for each rental.
Couldn't find a hotel with decent redemption value. The price shown on AM website is way higher than booking direct with the hotel website.

Interesting observation:
- Search results using IE and Chrome could be different in terms of selection and price.
- Flight selection comes and goes depends on the time/day of the search.

Always a good idea to use different browsers. Also a good idea to clear your cookies first. Some retailers (especially in hotel bookings) will offer extra promos if they sense you're a first time user on the site.

Also, don't know if it's still true but years ago it was known that people using Apple products would be quoted higher prices as the assumption was they were willing to pay more.

Ditto for what operabob said above. If you're searching/researching flights on an airline site, you can only get 3 searches max before they profile you and have to clear your cookies.
