Inserts coupons are from a an "Insert" in your flyers or your newspaper.

RedPlum comes in the regular flyers (for non-subscribers of the paper)every month and in the newspapers
SmartSource usually only comes in Saturday or Sunday papers. Here is a website with the schedule and what newspapers have the inserts

Tearpads are little pads of coupons, either at the front of a store like Real Canadian Superstore's "Coupon Zone" but those are store specific. Or they are on the shelf by the product.

PMs are Private messages or Price Matching. Price Matching is where you take the flyer of a competing store to say WalMart and get the item at WalMart at the same price the other store is listing it at. This is handy if you don't have that other store near you or if you only want to visit one store.
