I see in this morning's paper a flyer for Superstore with the same crackers on 4 for $5 for this weekend.
That's $1.25 each and a terrific price.
But when you factor in the $10 Safeway gift card (if I've got the offer correct) Safeway is the better deal by far.

Small error on the Kraft.
It's the larger size boxes of crackers.
Smaller are 2 for $4 ($2/box)
However, it's still a good deal as the double size boxes are 2 for $7.00 equivalent to $1.75/smaller box.
I lucked out though as I had a few $0.75 coupons left for the Post Shreddies which my wife eats as they are 0.0 sugar.
They were on for the equivalent of $3.50/box. The discount store across the street has the same on for $4.59 so all in all a good deal with the $10 gift card.
This special runs until Dec. 15th but I can't say if they'll be on sale next week too.

Dec. 9 - 15
Best Name brand deal of the week appears to be Knorr Seasoning Mixes (whether this really is a deal over making your own I can't say):
Buy 4 for $5 get 25 AMs which is roughly equivalent to about $3.25
You could use the 25 AMs towards 2 for 1 movie tickets which have a rough value of $8 - $10.

A. One 24 pack = $7.99 (equivalent to $4.00 for 12)
Still higher than the 12 pack @ $2.99 but the package has the 20 AM coupon which is 10/12pack = $1.30 approx.
Factor that in and it's effectively $3.25 - $1.30 = $1.95/12 pack Coke products.

Dec. 16 - 22
Don't see anything in the flyer that turns my crank this week but here's the direct e-mail offer.
10 AMs on a $50 iTunes card

Just back from Ontario and see the "Buy 5 House Brands Get 50 AirMiles" is back. I haven't had a chance to check in store to see which ones are also on sale too. From the flyer online it seems house brands have been repackaged as "Red Tag" (???) products.
Have to have a look tomorrow.
Regardless, here are this week's online coupons:

gg,
I used to do a lot of classical music performing hence the name.
I had a good laugh not long ago when a fellow writer decided to list me here as a practical joke:

Just had a quick run through the Safeway and haven't had time to really note the items on sale yet, however, the link above to the coupons has a $1 OFF on the Eating Right Margarine.
It's on sale and part of the Buy 5 Get 50. It'll end up costing about $2.49 I think.
Also, the "Basic Red" toilet paper is sold out this morning but it's 24 rolls for $4.99. It's eligible and hopefully they have it restocked tomorrow.
One thing you can do is ask at customer service or at a teller for the handbill listing which items are eligible. Many Safeways don't seem to put it out where it's easily seen.

Jan. 6 - 12, 2008
OK, there are many Buy 5 Get 50 AirMiles specials on house brands until Sat. Jan. 12.
I just haven't had time to get in and really check on the sale prices but they are good as I recall from my quick run through.
Combine that with the fact that:
This Tuesday is 10% off on purchase of $35 minimum
and you can do very well.
Here is an example:
Safeway bread in a silver bag (675g) is eligible @ $1.50
Each bag nets 10 AMs as part of the promo with approx. value of $1.30
Tuesday @ 10% off the bread is $1.35 and you get $1.30 worth of AMs.
You're effectively paying $0.05 per loaf.
In an extreme example you could buy $50 worth of bread getting more than 370 AMs. Donate the bread to a food bank with the receipt and you'll get a charitable tax receipt (our local food bank does this) reducing your taxes by $25. You could then convert the AMs to gift cards. Using Shell as an example which converts at $0.1143 you'd get about $43 worth of gas coupons.
So a $50 expenditure on bread = $25 tax reduction + $43gas = $68
That's a 36% return/advantage to you.
Best Name Brand Special:
Dole Pineapple (398ml) 4 for $5
Buy 10 get 50 AMs
10 Dole = $12.50
Tuesday @ 10% off = $11.25 and you get approx. $6.50 worth of AMs.
