A couple of us from Calgary are heading your way sometime this month (we think) and would love to make a stop at SOF's but not completely clear on how their stacking works as we have never shopped there.

Can anyone offer any tips, words of wisdom etc on how to best plan a shop for SOF's there?

    Thanks!

First you have to get a Save On More card http://www.saveonmore.com You get it from customer service and you fill out a form I think. The card is free.It works the same as the Safeway card if you don't have the Save On More card you get charged the higher price. The assistant manager of the 6720-52 Avenue Save On Foods in Red Deer told me the stacked coupons have to be from different media. Save On Foods website http://www.saveonfoods.com Absolutely no overage or changing value of coupon.

They are very sticky on the different media rule. One tear pad, one insert, one printable
    No p & g
    No stacking on bogo

These rules depend on the cashier and head cashier or supervisor
no stacking if the coupons say not in conjunction with another coupon,
No stacking if it says one coupon per purchase
No stacking if it says one coupon per item
I've heard of some cashiers limiting the # of items (4) you can stack but I have only heard that a few times.

They have a coupon policy but as usual not everything is 100%

It would be better to plan a trip buying regular priced things because Red deer and surrounding area does have a large amount of couponers. Lots of times the things on sale or in the flyers will be long gone. I have tried to get dishwasher soap the last few times it's been on sale, one time I got 2

We have 2 here and I don't know which one is better to go to. I have stacked at both but more at the east save on foods

The times I have stacked at save on I haven't had any major problems. They do ask people to preorder if they are doing a large purchase. Happy shopping!

Do they have a save on in Calgary? We have 2 here and I don't know which one is better to go to. I have stacked at both but more at the east save on foods

If any of you Calgary couponers would like to meet for a coffee and or swap I'm sure there's lots of us Red deer people that would be interested.
There are no Save On Foods in Calgary unfortunately.

And they don't allow stacking on the first Tuesday of the month ie. in conjunction with the 15% OFF.....I thought I heard from people that they won't take any coupons on that day, but that I cannot confirm

I think the best Save On Foods location is 6720-52 Avenue for finding it when driving from Calgary and it's proximity to other stores the big strip mall Village Mall and one of our main malls in Red Deer Parkland Mall.

if you stack at EASThill sof, there is one totally awesosme head cashier, her name is THERESA and she knows the coupon policy well and is always pleasant and never a hassle when she is working. Now when this other WHITE Haired woman about aged 50 is working stay clear, she is always grumpy and hates coupons and she thinks it is only one coupon per purchase. If she is working at the front desk, i just turn around and leave, not worth my time to try to use any coupons if she is there, i wish she would just retire or go somewhere else, she is so miserable.

A few weeks ago I had $1.00 off coupons for Javex Bleach and it was on sale for 99cents. I tried using the coupon at SOF North and the head cashier wouldn't let me. She said for me to use the coupon I'd have to buy 2 b/c they won't accept coupon for more than the product price. Anyone else run into this before? Any way around it for next time?

I'd talk to manager first. He is great on the North side. Plus always read their policy before you go, because it might've changed from the last time you read it. And last time I read it it did say this:
The total value of the coupons cannot exceed the value of the product...

This can be interpreted two way for me.
Either, they mean it cant exceed the value meaning we are not gonna give you money back for it and we will adjust the coupon down to the price the item is, or we will not take the coupon because we can not adjust the price of the coupon to meet the item and wont accept it.

I will talk to the manager and get it straight
