new no frills - west brant

I saw that the old Sobey's building in west Brant is being turned into a No Frills. I mentioned this to a friend who works at Sobeys and she said it will be another location not just a new location. So 2 No Frills in Brantford.
Anyone else know anything and please correct me if I am wrong.

Why does Brantford seem to put 2 same grocery stores in the same end of town. Both Zehrs are in the north end, both Food Basics are in the north end, both No Frills with be south end.

They had a job fair last week, it is a 2nd location. The reason this side gets lower end grocery is bc most of the people in this area need it, college kids and eagle place. I am glad I hate running over to pj area

Hello everyone,
Yes, the old Calbecks/IGA is going to be a second No-Frills with a different owner. It's opening this Dec, just haven't heard of a date yet. It's not going to be as large as the other one, it's only going to have 6 to 7 cash registers and no Pharmacy. It's going to be fantastic having another grocery store in West Brant, we need it. Also great news for the elderly that live in the Lorne Towers and surrounding area. When I catch wind of the opening date I'll make sure to post. The only thing I'd be worried about is the parking, afterall it's not a big lot.

Also, did you hear.....Paris is getting a No-frills aswell? It's about time Sobeys got some competition out there!

Only 3 more days till the Grand Opening!!

You will notice upon entering the store that there's only 5 cash registers, there's no fresh bakery section like Franks NoFrills and Rusty's carries the Fernbrook big bottled water (the no deposit one) and none of the other big bottles. Just a little FYI for everyone.

Monday-----8am - 9pm
Tuesday----8am - 9pm
Wednesday-8am - 9pm
Thursday---8am - 9pm
Friday------8am - 10pm
Saturday---8am - 8pm
Sunday-----9am - 7pm
