Hello eveyone. The surgery is done. One of the lumps have been sent out to the lab, it wasn't what they expected it to be. I just hope it isn't anything sinister and just a benign lump of some sort. Please pray.
The other lump was a ganglion, so completely different which was a good thing.
Her surgery went OK. I had to get her into the hospital at 5 AM because she kept going low so they hooked her up to an IV with glucose. She then went up to 22.5 !!!! I told them to please phone Children's hospital which they did, they managed to get her blood sugar down to 12 before surgery. Still high but not crazy.
After surgery she was up to 19 and so they kept her in the hospital all afternoon until we got her blood sugar down to 7. We are finally home. She is on painkillers and can't bath for 2 days. She is wearing tensor badges and will need to keep them on for 1 week. This will make wearing shoes interesting next week when she is back to school.
She is in pretty good spirits.
She says the nurses kept her warm with prewarmed blankets and they gave her a cute teady bear which she then took into surgery LOL. She is 14! Anyways she is still cuddling that bear.
I am exhausted.Looking for: Yogurt (FPCs)
