Thanks for sharing!
I've got one... If you happen to live near a Jungle Jims, they give you a piece of oreo ice cream cake and they get a bunch of them to sing a song to you. Usually they make you wear a sombrero they bring out (we went to one and theirs was stolen).

Awesome. I'm going to go out for free lunch AND dinner on my birthday! (Though my family always takes me for dinner, so I'll make sure that the lunch is entirely free )
And also, not sure if all of them do it, but the Mexicali Rosa's (chain, at least in Ontario) I worked at gives a free deep mini deep fried ice cream, sings a song, and the birthday person also wears a sombrero!

Here's some recent birthday edits! (Mine is coming up on Feb. 8, so I made some calls.. and got some emails!)
- Casey's (at least the one in Brantford) doesn't give a free meal, but just gives the birthday person $10 off if they are in a party of 4 or more
- Tucker's is free no matter if you're alone! (but drinks are extra)
- I've never got an email from The Edge 102.1 mailing list for free Jack Astor's (and I've been on it for years), though my friend did once... this one seems to be selective
- Lick's (called the Hamilton location) said they don't give a free meal, but they do give a free sunday!
- Boston Pizza - got this one from their mailing list: a coupon for a free deluxe pasta or a dessert (no purchase required!)
- Old Spaghetti Factory - called the Toronto location, and they said they do NOT do a free meal, but they do ice cream with a sparkler in it (hehe)
- Red Lobster - the coupon I got from the email club was $5 off each of 2 entrees.
I also got all of these from my email subscriptions!
- buy one get one free Blizzard (from the DQ Blizzard club mailing list)
- buy one get one free Orange Julius/smoothie (or $1.50 off a certain size smoothie) from the Orange Julius mailing list
- a biggie: free entree from Tony Roma's (up to $18.99 value, no purchase necessary!)
- a free dessert with purchase of an entree from Swiss Chalet
- $10 off a purchase of at least $40 from The Brassie (which is a pub in Ancaster)

Sadly, most places are closed on my birthday (Dec 25).
Do you believe in magic?

I just want to continue Psyche's helpful updates for those that live here in the westcoast. It's my birthday today and I made some calls/visits.
Old Spaghetti Factory in New West. does not give free meals either, just a candle in your ice cream.
TGI Fridays gives a free Sundae
Denny's gives free meals only with the purchase of 2 drinks and another entree.
And unlike I've heard some say, Rogers Video does not give free movie rentals on your birthday.

oh, and ditto on the Swiss Chalet and Dairy Queen coupons you get in your email as quoted by Psyche. I've used them both in the past and they've worked fine here in Vancouver.
