dizzyb - I would suggest you get a Sears Card if you can. They send you coupons to use all the time and you also get an extra % off on the website and in-store. I.E. - if Clearance is 20% off, the CC holders get 30%. It saved us a ton of money on appliances. I also buy a lot of kids clothes there.

thanks for this, spidey. I'll definitely consider it. I'd really rather not have any more credit cards on my file (even though I don't carry a balance), but if it will save a pile of cash, it might be worth it.

The best thing about the Sears credit card is you can just turn around and pay it off after you charge your purchase. I do it all the time. Was going to pay by debit, so the money is already there, so I put it on the credit card, earn the points, save money and then tell the teller I'd like to pay the balance of the card now.

I am like you, have one card, and that will do, but it was a cashier at Sears who told me this and I love it.
