2012 DT SC meets...opinions please!

I've been wondering what we can do to make the planning of our downtown meets more streamlined, and it occurred to me that we could pick a date for each month, e.g. the 15th (to give us a bit of time to use up in-month expiries), and just stick to that.

Then, everyone would know ahead of time and can plan accordingly in order to be able to attend (or send their stuff with a buddy, if they want to but can't).

It would work around the "I can't make it on Thursdays" or whatever by being day-of-the-week agnostic, and people wouldn't have to vote (or at least not as often - I'm sure the 15th/18th/20th/whatever would get picked would fall on a weekend occasionally, and I doubt that would work for anyone...plus we probably wouldn't be able to get to the RBC food court then either, although I suppose we could pick an alternate venue...maybe Chimmi's! *heehee*).

I like this idea and I think mid-month is good - it gives ppl a few weeks to use up end of month expiries. I also agree weekends will probably be tricky for ppl as most ppl don't live downtown and more than likely wouldn't want to travel into the city if they didn't have to.

So I guess the question is, do we decide on a numerical date (for example the 15th) or do we just decide on a constant date (like the second tuesday of every month)?

Oh - and can we start a new wishlist for 2012?


And yes, if we can't access RBC we can always use my place.

I'm okay with saying the 15th of every month, and hope that it doesn't fall too often on a Wednesday.

I haven't been coupon hunting, so I have no idea what's out there. So perhaps I shouldn't be the one starting the wishlist thread.

I counted, theres 3 15th that falls on the weekend in 2012 from Jan to Nov
