Shoppers (London) Grand Opening January 7, 2012

I saw a sign outside the new SDM at the south end of London (Southdale and Colonel Talbot Road) that they're having their grand opening on Saturday, January 7.

Is there always a bonus points promotion applicable to the new store like there was with the downtown London SDM recently? I didn't get in on that one but would love to participate now if this one offered it.

Are there store specific deals during these grand openings? I've never been to an SDM opening so I don't really know how they work.....

All of the stores I have visited usually have a FREE SDM tote bag, draws for gift baskets and special deals at the store only(usually milk and diapers along with a few other items like makeovers).

Don't have any details on this but we're going to be near there on Saturday so we'll stop in to see if there's anything special going on. Hopefully there will be some grand opening specials.

I was in Westmount today and I saw a sign outside the SDM on Wonderland just north of Southdale that said something like "Come join us on Saturday, January 7 for our Customer Appreciation Celebration - free gift in the Beauty Boutique" Hmmmm think they're trying to compete with the new SDM around the corner?

I might have to stop into both locations!
