my ex best friend and i parted badly....
she was living a lifestyle i didnt like and i couldnt stand for it anymore, her as a mother....anyhow we broke off our friendship badly...
what happened was i told her she was acting like a slut (courting several men whilst being a mom) and i said it to her plainly kind of in hopes of waking her up...she slapped me on the face and we havent seen each other for upwards of 3 years...i have seen her but avoider her and never spoke to her.then she uploaded a whole bunch of pictures of me,embarrassing pics,to facebook, and i could see thru mutual friends....well that p@##% me off to say the least but i let it go....for a few months...i got mad one night and uploaded pics of her...to the dirty.com....yeah....i know..im evil for doing that...i know this...
anyhow i begged the guy to take them down cuz i felt bad...multiple requests...they are still there..they arent embarrassing or nudes..just public photos i got off her facebook..she has me blocked..just wanted to have my rant kinda thing...yeah i am a b.....
i feel bad cuz i tried to take the pics down...and..anyways...
so today at 4 am not talking for 3 years i get this call threatening my life..its her voice..i know her voice..cant trace the call...cant anything...it was a call i accepted so no voicemail..virtually no proof...
i call the cops...i tell them the situation...yeah i was bad,she was bad but why did it get to this point? this isn't high school.she threatened my life.i have a kid now..so i pressed charges....i feel so bad cuz she has a kid...
what was i to do? did i do wrong? yeah i know we both did wrong for anyone thats gonna judge me....did i do right? or should i have thought "shes drunk..its 4 am" kinda thing? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

i forgot to mention she knew to call my cell and to call from an unknown phone...the cops even said had she called my home phone,in the phonebook, she could have been traced..so she was malicious in that intent...

the original fighting was childish, you know that, but to threaten someone's life even if it's not meant seriously is just plain scary.. you did right to call the police.. perhaps she did do it while drunk, but you never know for sure right? the fact that she was still lucid enough to call from an annonymous phone so she couldn't be traced should tell you something.. good luck with this situation, sorry i don't have helpful advice for you
Let's just assume I'm right... It'll save time.

I agree with go jays, it started off childish squabbles and turned into something serious. You never know if someone is gonna freak out one day and actually do it. You needed to call police.

GoJays is right. She knew well enough what she was doing was wrong, and had enough "common sense" to not call you from her own phone where she would have been traced. With all the crazies out there, you can never be too careful when someone (even a former best friend) threatens you.
Dont beat yourself up with guilt over calling the police on her. You did the right thing. Yes, she has a kid too, but she should have thought of her kid before she did this - she had enough foresight to think of how to call & threaten you without leaving a trail that led to her.

well Tudor, since you gave the police the facts, I am guessing that IF she is stupid enough to follow through now on her threat then they have a report, a file history that you provided. I hope that would be enough of a deterrent for her to cease and desist.
We are all capable of doing something out of anger, every one of us, trouble is these days the internet does not give you that " do over " it is there forever.
Lesson learned I guess. I wonder what awful things I would have done in my youth if I had been exposed to this form of communication, I shudder to think.
Good luck my dear.walkonby named me Q-Tip, Turns out I am a FAKE!!! I am NOT even a real animal, but a hand made craft!!

You had the right to phone the police unfortunately for her child... the rest is nonsense. Unless she's endangering or neglecting her child, you have no right to comment or make degrading comments on how many men she is courting. Just because you have children doesn't mean you are not permitted to date. You're lucky she didn't phone the cops on you for uploading personal photos of her on a website.. all over HER sexlife

I just hope her child has an available family member she can go to if her mother is arrested.

I'm really sorry that this is happening to you, especially with the involvement of children now. You're acting like an adult now, admitting your mistakes which is great. It is very childish, this disagreement, but it happens. We have all said or done something in anger that we are not proud of. I am glad you called the police, as even though there is probably nothing they can do at present with the exception of speaking to her, due to the lack of proof, I would hope that will be enough to end this crazy thing. Children are at risk here, and hopefully she did the same as you, in a moment of anger, but it seems that everyone needs to forgive themselves for what was done and move on.
Don't feel bad for calling the police, you need to look out for your child, you did the right thing.
Be nice to someone on SC today, pay it forward

Yes, both of you acted like children, but she stepped over the line.
Calling the police was the right thing to do....I hope that this provides a deterrent for her.
Her poor child, though....what kind of a person would do that?!!I have the best job in the world!!
I marry people!!
