Canada Computers has these well liked 60" plasma TV's for $899 until 1/05/12
If possible price match it at Future Shop ($1099) for $879. Ontario and Montreal only.

Yeah that is actually an awesome deal... Frankly I think Plasma is way better than LED just for the refresh rate and the value in $

I owned a LCD, which I then gave to my parents, so that I could buy a plasma. I find the plasma much better...more vibrant colors....not that dullish look of LCD. But it all depends on where people plan on putting their TVs. If I had mine in a sunlit bright room, the glare would make it difficult to watch.

I went plasma myself. I got a Samsung 51" 720P plasma as a second or third TV for $429 and free delivery. Same price as a 40" LCD, and it looks and sounds great. Other than in a sunroom or other bright unblinded room, bang for the buck goes to plasma IMHO. At 8 feet plus, there is little or no discernible difference between 720p and 1080p, for most people anyway.
