Just a heads up to everyone that I saw this film back in September at TIFF and it is a pretty heavy film. If is based on one of shakespeare's plays.
Enjoy to everyone that got passes!

Thanks again OP for posting. Went to see this last night and I think it was one of the worst films I have seen in a long time. Only made it a hour and half through before I couldn't take it anymore and we left. About 30 people left before I did.

I think the Toronto free screening was Jan 18th.
I am sure it will be released in the next few months or so. This is a pretty intense and heavy film as I mentioned above. It is Ralph Fiennes' first time directing and he was very sweet at the festival giving many people a lot of credit.

lol

I am glad you saw the trailer so you have a bit of an idea what the film is about.
I did see this at TIFF this year back in September. The acting is good. The film is a little violent for my taste. Gerard Butler and Ralph Fiennes are nice eye candy in the film
I like how they tried to set the play in modern times. Would I recommend it? If you are a Ralph Fiennes fan, yes
I prefer him in movies where there is more of love story involved but I am just a sap
It was nice seeing him on stage before the film talking about the movie. He was very sweet and soft spoken. It is one of my favourite things about TIFF, hearing how passionate the film makers and actors are about the projects they are involved with.
If you see it, please let me know what you thought.

I'll definitely be seeing it then! Don't care much about Gerard, but I like Ralph (esp. with a shaved head, ha!) and I don't mind violent flicks at all! Now I'm really excited about it.. lol
I went to TIFF once to see a Woody Allen film. It's great seeing everyone there. Too bad I nearly fell asleep during the screening..
