What do you remember from your childhood?

My fondest memories aren't actually from spending time with my family. When we moved for the fourth or fifth time, we were out in the boonies with no children our age around. Down the road there was a nice old lady Vera and her husband and every summer their grand-daughter would come to visit. I got to experience things my family never would have been able to afford, like horseback riding, waterskiing, trips to the Dairy Queen. I loved sitting down with them for iced tea on the veranda feeling like I was someone important.

I can't wait to experience everything I never got to as a child with my DS. Like going to the zoo, or on a trip out of province, maybe even to Disneyland one day!

the time I had a really high fever...and saw things that weren't there

when my first pet died


and worst of all......

when I realised I was never, ever going to be a Time Lord...

I swear to god, I had the worst luck with pets. I got a kitten, accidentally let it outside and it crawled in my mom's muffler. Dead. Then I had these two big Russian Rats, Bert and Ernie, Bert got cancer and ate Ernie and then my step-dad killed Bert with a hammer. My brother got a tarantula and put it in my bed and it crawled all over me EEEEEK! My dog Rexy fell in the river in the middle of winter and we never saw him again. My dog Rudy was stolen. My 13 rabbits got killed by my mother and made into rabbit stew. My mom's dog Sparky died while I was bra shopping for my wedding because I took too long. And our raccoons Goober 1 and Goober 2 got taken away and sent back to the forest. (I'm sure they liked it better there, but it was heart-breaking to have my wee babies taken away from me!)

I remember ging on a summertime train trip to visit my aunt - We would always go shopping at this really cool specialty shop with polka dot shopping bags. Funny i think I remember the smell of that store sometimes.

holy traumatic! i had two mice and one day i came home from school and the head was missing from one of them (apparently two male mice require two different nests, live and learn!!) then one time i spent like half an hour trapping a wild mouse in my living room so the cat wouldnt get it and i took it behind the house and let it go (had it trapped in a chip bag). it ran right into the road and a car ran it over i heard its bones crush...
