Such a beautiful and heartwarming story and it reminded me of my sister so much. As some of you know my sister passed away almost a year ago at the age of 36 after a very short illness but during her time here with us she was a wonderful teacher but we didn't find out just how wonderful until after her passing.

Her students all wrote messages in a book for my parents telling us just how loved she was. There were messages that said how she always took the time to work with each child (she taught grade 6) and they could go to her with any issues they had. She always spent her lunch hour in her classroom for those students that wanted to come in and work (though most came in just to spend time with her). We even heard from past students that were graduating high school and they told us how she was their best teacher because she believed in everyone of them and encouraged them to believe in themself.

Not only did we receive these books the school also held a memorial service and students told stories of my sister and afterwards they opened a game room for the kids which was named after her. It's just amazing to think of how loved she was by all her students and I am so proud of her for being a great teacher.
