Anyone here like to shop around at second hand stores? Any good ones you've been to in the Westshore or Victoria?
Looking for suggestions, I've only ever been to value village and i wasnt really impressed. This thread is currently associated with: Value Village

I actually like that Value Village - although I find I go a lot more often than I buy anything!
Have you tried WIN (785 Pandora Ave)? They have a great mix of modern and vintage clothing and a good selections of sizes. I always find something I'd like to take home there and their prices are reasonable.
I've also had some good finds at the Victoria Hospice Thrift Boutique (1315 Cook St) recently. They only sell women's clothes (and usually fashions for older ladies) but the clothes are clean, good quality and in good repair, so it's worth a trip every now and then. I bought a beautiful Nygard skirt there for $7 for my sister's Christmas present.
And not a thrift store - but the the patch (719 Yates St) has a huge selection of secondhand clothes. Last time I was there they had an adorable cheerleader's jumper/sweater which I drooled over but finally decided I was too old for!

I second The Patch. Several years ago my dd15 happened to be there during a stuff everything you can into a bag for $20(stupid promo when you have teens shopping, lol)and she came away with something like 4 pairs of jeans, 2 bikinis, 8 shirts, 4 purses including a Nine West, 3 pairs of shoes and a bunch of jewelry. My 18 year old son also likes there. Lots of vintage styles.
