People dont post because coupons get cleared out right chicken louie if they do. Its sad but true....but I dont think it has to do with posts...or lack thereof...I think its just couponings explosion that is causing this..

It's a vicious circle too! I Used to take 1 or 2 coupons because I thought there would be plenty if I need more next time I visit that store. Not so much now because I know there won't be any next time so I take 10 for the stuff my family uses and 3 or 4 if it's something I wouldn't use, just for trading. To me that's reasonable, it might be excessive or insignificant to someone else. I have a family of 5 to feed so I do what I can. Yes it's frustrating when they're gone but hey it's fair!

I'm kind of wondering what's the point of not posting your deals and coupons if you're part of a community that does exactly that?! I personally don't have that many coupons and even if I did, I wouldn't be turning my basement in a grocery store. I share the things I find because I believe in helping others, even if some turn out to be takers more than givers. Most of the time, it's a matter of being at the right time at the right place AND there will always be abuse and greed but I'll continue with a clean conscience.

I completely agree. I first started coming to this site because of all the help I received to save us some money. It would be a sad day if people stopped helping others in similar situations because they are taking coupons that stores are offering.

I also have a hard time believing that it is just SCers that are taking the coupons. If you think of the people that utilize this site that shop at stores in Edmonton...maybe 2-5%???? They aren't the only ones shopping in Sobeys, Safeway, Shoppers....if that was the case, those stores wouldn't have a hope of staying open.

And as another person posted, there has been a huge explosion of shows that display how coupons can be utilized and now people are trying to imitate that. It isn't just people on this website that are trying to save money, its everywhere.

I would hate to see people not post their "finds" because they don't want others to find them. You state you aren't being selfish, but sounds like a selfish comment to me. Not trying to be rude, but if I found something that I think others would like, I would definitely like to tell others to help out another family that may be in a similar situation as ours.

It is better to PM those that you share deals with rather then posting it since there are alot of non-members on here looking too. I share my deals just that PMing seems to be the better option

i agree with army wife edmonton, if we dont post to help out others than we will never really know what deals are going on and you will always have to be at the grocery store just so that you make your deals or catch the right deals. if ppl would stop being so greedy so that others can get the deal too that would be great becuase the deals come out lots so theres no need to be greedy. and as for us being like the states with the couponing, i totally agree with that and i have made a request to redplum and smartsource to try and get us coupons everyweekend as well that are of hv.hopefully if enough ppl make the request maybe they will make it so that we can get more hv coupons and get them everyweekend.
