I know exactly what you're going through. Thank god my two oldest (4 and 5) are very conscious of choking hazards! My son who's 4 still puts stuff in his mouth. He's even picked up gum off the ground and tried to put it in his mouth!

my daughter is nearly 14 months old and puts everything in her mouth. The smaller it is the more she wants it in her mouth. With 5 kids in the house and a toddler as well you can imagine there are often things left around faster then I can pick them all up.
Just a half hour ago she was gagging on a small piece of cotton batten that the dog ripped out of his bed without me noticing. I've had to make her vomit in tha past when she swallowed the plastic wrap corner off a juice box straw wraper (the tiny piece that sticks behind on the box).
I get down and crawl the floor several times a day to find bits of fluff, hair or any litle objects she can mouth. I try to always have something available she can chew on and switch the chews around frequently so she doesn't get bored with them. Her favorite is a wet bab washcloth. She mostly brings me stuff she finds now.
