    hey everyone
so I always see people bragging about using the charmin coupons from brandsaver to get toliet seat covers...
personally I dont see much of a point of stocking up on these as I would never use them?
When I use a public restroom, I layer the seat with tp before i put my hiney down LOL

I don't use them. Even if there were something fatal awaiting me on the toilet seat, I doubt that a layer of TP or a fancy toilet seat cover would save me anyhow!

I don't use them either, so I'm not understanding the brags at all. TBH, sometimes I wonder if people pick up things using coupons they wouldn't normally have used, to get stuff they have no use for just for the 'high' of getting something free.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for using coupons and/or free stuff, but I do wonder if sometimes people get carried away. Sure, you (general you) can argue that you'll donate it anyway, but that just means you completely missed my point....

Anywho, have a happy non-germed bum... I guess.

I have had many of opportunities, to get these and I just can't bring myself to do buy them.....the same goes for the travel sized Gillette shaving cream when they were going to be free.....I rather buy 3 full sized Gillettes shaving creams and end up paying a dollar for them (S5WUB3) than have a thousand mini ones.....again, that's just me.....I have no use for the travel size toilet seat covers....

Agreed on the travel sized stuff; the only travel sized anything that I have came as freebie samples in the mail, otherwise I always buy full size.

I have never bought them either. Have I considered it? Yes, but what's the point when they'll just sit around my house collecting dust. Seems like a waste.

9 out of 10 people who brag about Charmin toilet seat covers only buy them for the OVERAGE.

Out of those 9 (if you call them on it), 2 will be truthful and admit they were only purchased for the overage.

The remaining 7 will claim that they it's something they will actually use.

4 of those 7 will try one (of their stockpile of 20+) and realize they really have no use for them and let the others gather dust until they chuck them all.

The remaining 3 people will never try a single seat cover and will either sell them to make additional profit on an overage item, give them away, or throw them in the trash.

This is based on my being on SC for almost 3 yrs...

Same here. I'ld rather see my shelf full of full size items than teeny tiny travel products.

I just use regular toilet paper on the seat...I don't carry a purse, so what would be the point of carrying around seat covers?

Overages with coupons are slim pickings these days; I imagine that's why people are taking advantage of this particular deal. It makes me wonder whether manufacturers will ever offer high value coupons again, especially after experiencing the massive coupon redemptions of last year.

I blame the 'Extreme Coupon' mindset that is ruining for others; stop watching the show & trying to do what they are doing... it's all fake, the stores admit it!

I actually do use them funny enough. I have two toddlesr who are new to the toilet world and are a bit germaphobic (my son won't even pee if the toilet hasn't been flushed first) My DD won't sit on a public toilet without one.

I have also found by accident that they absorb spills in the car really well and they are great for camping - porta pottys are gross!

But yes I originally bought them for the overage!

porta potties. OMG. yuck.. I bought one pack last summer. i think. and its in the bottom of my purse JIC. i've used them to put on the floor and put my purse on it. when there is no hook to hang purse on. or when the toilet paper holder isn't wide enough to sit your purse on. small rectangular metal box.. or if there is no toilet paper. thank goodness i carry wipes.. but yes have used some. unfortunately i dont' have the ability to squat and go anymore. so not an option.. but yes just one lonely little package there JIC.
    May 2012 be THE year.
