Wow there are some great ideas on here that I'm definitely going to be using myself in the near future! I tried starting a "Pot Luck FPC" train before Christmas that never filled so I gave up as it was too hectic, but I think once my envies from the two trains I'm on now get back to me, I'll try posting it again.

I always love having/riding with you Couponandoff, so I'm sure you'll do great no matter what, but there are lots of us who would gladly join your first VWT to make sure you have a good experience!

In my opinion I wouldn’t hold up a train for someone to send a replacement envy. I would either send the envy back or just fix it (if there were just a couple mistakes). I understand that conductors want to give people a chance to fix their mistakes but if there are that many mistakes maybe the envy should be sent back to them. It makes the riders who sent the proper coupons frustrated when you have to wait a month and a half to receive their envy back.

I would also make sure that the BP is clearly labeled and put in a separte baggie or clipped together separtely from the coupons that they send you!!! This way, the rider ensures that they send you exactly what is required for the BP (example: you ask for 3 stamps to send their envie back and 1 for the conductor plus 1 additional coupon from your wishlist.) I had riders that only sent 3 stamps, didn't include 1 additional coupon from my wishlist and if they did, it was an early expiry!! I let it go, but will not next time...

    Dearest Couponandoff,

I am sitting here anxiously awaiting to jump on your train.

My feet are becoming soggy and cold and my hair looks like poop after waiting outside the train station for days 9I think I kinda smell to). People are looking at me and throwing pennies my way because they think I am homeless

So long and short "GET YOUR TRAIN ROLLING"

Actaully all trains are pretty slow seating up recently, I have been watching a few and taking almost a week to start getting people, when i starting joing trains a month ago, all seats almost gone in 2 days.

Don't worry it will fill up.

I think as well alot of newbies are not able to participate or scared off, as many trains want a FPC, why not have a WL and BP = $5 or $10 worth of coupons from it ( those who have FPC the value of max amount used to calculate remaining BP )

I have seen trains where do it via point system, but hell, any rider could just use 3 $0.25 coupons and ahead of game on anything given to them )

Q: When is the best day/time to post a boarding call for a VWT? Early week, Mid week, Week end?

You need a sign that says "will work for coupons." I think I'm hesitant to get a train rolling because like the glutton that I am, I jumped on an awful lot of trains... I had 10 outstanding trains a few days ago. 4 arrived yesterday so I think I'm down to 5ish now. I need to quit leaping and start plotting, er I mean planning my own train. I'm hoping to post early next week! For the time being, get out of the rain, or put on boots and lets go fishin!
