Great deal thanks for posting! Dad tells me a story about how his little niece once stole his silver dollar and spent it on gum...got face value for $1. Convenience store owner took advantage of a child!

Thank-you very much. I have never ordered from the "Mint" before. But I ordered 3 Quarter sets and 1 $20 coin. I am very excited to give these as gifts. Plus I also got free 3-5 days shipping with the use of GAZETTE20 code. Thanks!!!!!

A further look at the specs reveals it's not worth the deal. The specs on the website say that it is 7.96 grams equivalent of 0.28 ounces - slightly above a quarter ounce of silver.
The going price today for a 1 ounce silver coin is 34.15. This coin should be selling for $8 to $9 based on current market value. Better to purchase the 1 ounce @ 34.15, more value for your money.

this coin and any other coin that you buy is not to be bought for the value of metal it is a collectors item and is being sold for the price of the face value of the coin. what that means is that if you ever wanna cash it in you can get your $20 back if you return it to a bank as it is legal tender. this is not to be used as an investment tool unless you plan to keep it for long long times. it also depends on mintages and since this is a high mintage coin it will not go more than double in about 20 - 50 years unless by some sheer luck they send out the first batch with a mistake that is later corrected during the subsequent batches

I was excited for this coin to give as a gift. But also because if you want to return it to a bank you get your $20 back. No loss if the price of silver goes down. The quarters are just plain fun and no loss of money either. You could use them at a store if you wanted to.

I didn't need a shipping code. Shipping appears to be free no matter what you buy

Just a friendly reminder for everyone - Once you've ordered from the Mint, they keep your credit card on file and send you regular mail frequently about their new coins, it contains not only the ad flyer for the new coins but also an order form with all your info ready, waiting for you to respond so that they can charge your card and send out the coins. When I first got this I didn't care much but when it came in the mail so frequently it became a headache - since they print your info on every sheet you'll have to shred them all. Eventually I had to call in and asked them to cancel my account in their system.

ive been a mint.ca customer since i was 14 years old or so and i have never received any order form with my info written on it already. i do get the monthly / every other month mail about new coins and stuff though. so i dunno maybe you clicked something on their site about prefilling info or somehting. the credit card info as mentioned you can just click the do not remember this card button and it will be fine.

Check you billing profile....mine was never set with a credit card saved so my account has an option to "add credit card". Don't know what an account would look like if there was a credit set up and saved...I'm guessing there would be an option to delete/cancel the credit card number. Otherwise, maybe you would have to call the Mint to take it off.
