You know this used happen when I could not use a contest win. I would make effort to give them to family or friends. Sometimes it seemed like they were doing me a favour using a win.
So I started to get more careful about what I entered making sure I could use it. As well I now give them to people on boards like here because quite honestly strangers are more appreciative than some family and friends.

Our neighbours are going through a rough patch. They owe use money (we could use it but not as much as them). When I find super deals I pick them up for them and they will pay me the $1.00 or less that I got it for. I made them a gift basket for X-mas. A few small toys for the kids, toiletries, chocolates, crackers, etc. They thanked me and that has all that has been done. I know she doesn't have time to shop. I will continue to share my awesome deals.
I think your friend should be more appreciative. I would be happier than hell if someone dropped off coupons at my house and I don't even need them ( we could all always use coupons).
I think she may need to declare bankrupcy to stop the creditors from calling. Perhaps that may teach her a bit of responsibilty as you are forced to live on a budget
