I (like many others, I'm sure) have benefitted from generous coupon fairies. I really appreciate these raok... So what about a thread where we can post thank-yous? And, if you are a fairy, it might be neat to see that the coupons were used.

(I see other, old threads where posters can announce fairy acts, or threads dedicated to specific fairy acts, but no general thank-you thread)

To start... thank you to the fairy who left Cloverleaf Entertainers coupons in the Wal-Mart in Port Coquitlam yesterday. I used! And I appreciate!

Great idea, thanks to whoever left the tide coupons in Chilliwack Wal-mart. I used 1 and put the others so people could see them.

Sometimes being the coupon fairy is so much fun. I have on a number of occassions, gone up to people who are looking at a particular product and handed them a coupon for it. It is an amazing feeling to see the expression that appears on their faces... almost disbelief that someone would reach out and offer something good. Wicked stuff! :O)

I did that once to a young mother with a child. She had a Swiffer and refills in her cart that I was able to give her over $20.00 worth of coupons. She couldn't believe it. Kept thanking me over and over. I never use my Swiffer coupons so it was a delight to see them being used :D

There are many great people on my local SC forum that are always there when I need an extra coupon or insert. Thanks!!

I awlays peek in the cart of the person behind me in line, I figure it's the least I can do seeing as though couponing often equals more time at the cash then a tyical non-couponer. If I have several of a really good coupon that is very close to expiring I will spend 5 minutes hovering aound the item waiting for people picking it up. Last year around Halloween I gave a ton of pesi couons away to people picking them up at the last minute on the last day of the sale.
I've also gave away several of the b1g1 cineplex admissions from ast promos, I just gave them to random people in the line up who seemed to be in good spirits. So fun!

I love doing this. I too always take a peek at the person behind me cart, and offer coupons if I have them.

Recently when the Nestea was on sale at Food Basics for .97 cents I was in line and had some Neastea and Fruitopia (the only kind of juice/pop my DD will drink) and a young couple came behind me. Seeing that both me and the people in front of me had the Nestea they realized they must be on sale (i guess they missed it) So I let them know it was just.97 she was so excited at the great price she sent her boyfriend off to grab a couple. When he returned with some I offered the $1 off coupon. She was a little confused at first thinking with the coupon it would bring it down to a dollar, but when I explained that it would actually make it free they were so happy they thanked me over and over again all the way to the parking lot. It feels so great to lift some ones day with something as little as a coupon.
During Christmas while I was standing in the long lines at Zellers I handed out the printed coupons from Facebook that gave you a $10 gift card with any $40 purchase (I printed a bunch of these at home just to hand out) I handed out close to 50 of these things and it was so wonderful to see all the surprised and smiling faces...it almost seems selfish since I enjoy it so much....and it's not just me my DH is always looking to help the next person too it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy

One time I gave a some of the $4 of Advil Cold and Sinus to a couple ladies who were about to buy a 20 pack in Walmart, but were clearly concerned with the cost as they talked back and forth. I gave them some coupons and showed them if they bought the 10 packs they were free. They were so excited and said they had seen it done on t.v but had no idea it could work it Canada...I think they will be looking a little closer at coupons now

So keep up all the good work SC's it really does make a difference...and of course feels good too

When I am standing in the long wait checkout lanes, I often examine the carts of people around me and hand out coupons. I gave one couple over $5 in coupons (6 ot 7 coupons) and they were floored. There was an elderly Hauterite woman shopping for diapers and concerned for the best deal. I handed her a $3 Pampers coupon and told her to get what she wanted...she wasn't stuck with the WM brand. Made her happy Giving them away keeps me busy while waiting in line and lessens the burden of having to wait for all my coupons to get rung through.

I regularly take royale TP coupons to Rexall when I go after mine and hand them to the cashiers to keep, hand out..whatever they want! They are always happy to see me come in now.

I thought I was the only person who handed out coupons in line?!? It does feel good, doesn't it?

I love this. It makes the coupon community feel a little closer and less anonymous!

I always give people coupons, people think I am nuts when they see how much my bill drops for groceries, and then I will turn around and give them some coupons for things in their cart. I like leaving them by products in the stores too.
