I feel that we as couponers are blessed with the deals we get and I think we should all pull all our resuorces together in each of our areas where we reside and donate to the different charitys such as women's shelters or the Children's Aid and oraganize a massive campaign to help out the less fortunate.....Maybe we could name the event Smart Canuckers couponing for the less fortunate....but we all do it Canada wide....I think it would be great....we could show everyone that couponers are not the selfish people that are portrayed on television with more stuff than they can every use....

Many people already do this...there's a number of different SCers who have weekly/monthly monetary goals that they donate to their local food bank/shelters/etc.

Well I'm doing a small thing myself lol (see my thread here: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/269179-...llenge-canada/)
And in there, there's at least one other person that's doing the same sort of challenge...not sure where they're from though. I've stumbled across a number of different posters talking about donating their stuff but can't find the exact threads right now...

I think many SCers do already donate. Some post brags about them, and some just do it as a part of their regular routine and wouldn't think to post about them.

My family is blessed in many ways, only one of which being that my husband has a well paying career so we are able to donate monthly to the benefit of both our community and city (money, household goods, food, new and gently used clothing, toys, baby items, school supplies, etc). I am not typically one to post about such things (or much else, lol) but I do very much enjoy reading the posts of so many others who also "share the wealth."

I set myself a challenge to take $20.00 each month and with coupons see how much I can buy for my local foodbank. (see thread here http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/267419-...anuary-canada/ )
I posted to see if I could encourage others to do the same and was amazed at the response. I really shouldn't have been because I have never seen a more amazing group of caring people. Kudos to Smart Canucks. I live in Saint John, New Brunswick.
As suggested by someone else, it would be nice if we could tally the $ amounts, I am sure it would surprise everyone. Those coupons sure add up to great savings.

I donate throughout the year. I'm not very good at couponing but when I find things for free I cannot use then I give them away. I donate a lot to my mother who is on welfare (although she works!) and raising two teenagers and she appreciates it a lot but if there is something even she doesn't want then I give it to our food pantry. A lot of the coupons on my WL are strictly for donating purposes.
